Group singing has a qualified early postpartum trial signal

Population and setting
134 mothers with postnatal depressive symptoms; ten-week singing, play or usual-care groups.
What was found
Overall faster improvement was not significant (P=.16); the moderate/severe symptom subgroup favored singing (P=.033).
Limits and applicability
Do not turn a subgroup finding into universal prevention or a playlist claim. Group, facilitator and repeated participation were part of the intervention.
How directly does this apply?
direct-perinatal; subgroup-qualified
Gap between the study and our product
A short sing-along is a new adaptation, not the tested ten-week intervention.
