Clinician-delivered EMDR has a postpartum birth-trauma trial

Population and setting
151 women randomized after a traumatic birth experience in the Netherlands; 143 in the reported analysis.
What was found
Two clinician-delivered sessions between two and five weeks postpartum reduced PTSD symptoms and related distress compared with telephone contacts.
Limits and applicability
Primary target was PTSD at nine weeks; depression was secondary. This does not validate universal PPD prevention or AI-led trauma retelling.
