Population and setting: Multiple umbrella reviews; underlying observational evidence often low certainty.
What was found: History of depression/anxiety, low support, violence and stressful life events repeatedly correlate with PPD.
Limits and applicability: Associations are not individual probabilities. Poverty, racism and care access are structural conditions, not maternal failures or biological race effects.
