Population and setting: 38 postpartum women, six-week placebo-controlled trial.
What was found: Response 59% versus 26%; remission 53% versus 21%.
Limits and applicability: Small trial, not a forecast for an individual. Prescribing, bipolar assessment, interactions and breastfeeding decisions require qualified care.
