Population and setting: HN001 pregnancy trial; 423 randomized, mood data from 380 participants.
What was found: Mean depression symptom score was 1.2 points lower with HN001.
Limits and applicability: Mood was a secondary outcome, using modified questionnaires. Different strains or a general gut-health bundle are not validated by this result.
